Oyster Reef Restoration Project
Honors Biology students partnered with the Coastal Conservation Association in April to construct dynamic artificial reef structures where life in the Chesapeake Bay can thrive. These habitats offer refuge to juvenile fish, crabs, and invertebrates, while also reviving historical oyster growth patterns. Through this innovative method, students are helping to bolster the survival rates of diverse marine life.
